This page explains how to add the BI-Vital MCP server in ChatGPT.

Setup flow (GIF)

Step-by-step

1. Open ChatGPT.
2. Open the profile menu in the bottom-left and click Settings.
3. In Settings, open Apps.
4. Open Advanced settings.
5. Enable Developer mode.
6. Click Create app.
7. In New app, set Name to BiVital.
8. Set MCP server URL to https://bivital.techfak.uni-bielefeld.de/mcp.
9. Keep authentication as No authentication.
10. Confirm the MCP risk checkbox and click Create.
11. In chat, click +, then More, then choose the new BiVital app.
12. Start asking questions about BI-Vital content.
